Despite the horrible year we have always been confident of being able to start again with renewed vigor even if this year the difficulties were far greater than in previous editions. The economic cuts we had to suffer were important, but this year we will still be able to organize a high-quality concert season in Sassari, and increasingly inserting the city into the network of international festivals, encouraging the mobility of artists between different festivals. An important commitment supported by great professionalism within the association and by the many students and graduates who are our members with enthusiasm, strength and self-sacrifice help us in this adventure.
We are also happy to confirm for the third consecutive year the institutional collaboration with the state music conservatory "L.Canepa" of Sassari and “P. L. from Palestrina” of Cagliari . This comforts us because we believe that collaborations must be increasingly closer. This year in addition to hosting the conservatory orchestra “L. Canepa” we will be guests in the Sassu room for the presentation of Maria Borghe's bookyes “Italian reception of J.S.Bach” with a speech by Maestro Mariano Meloni, director of the state music conservatory “L. Canepa” of Sassari and prof. Gian Nicola Spanu professor of music history at the state conservatory of music “L. Canepa” of Sassari.
This year there are several collaborations with international festivals in other cities and countries, just think of the Timishoara ancient music festival, Brianza festival, Music of the Pleasant Place, Note&Flavors of European Baroque, which allow circulation and mobility of artists and ensembles between festivals.
The collaboration with the portal is very precious JSBach.it who in addition to following our events on their social channels, they will guide us in listening to the concerts through musicology pills and presentations of the works we will listen to.
For your part, the support and trust you have shown us over these years, the truly precious contribution that allowed us to continue dreaming and not stop!
Our hope is to be able to enjoy live music more and more as a unique and unrepeatable moment, never taken for granted, always difficult to research and chased by musicians. The moment for which the musician lives knowing that it will be shared by those who know how to capture it.
For the rest, just sit down and listen.
Daniel Cernuto, artistic director of the international ancient music festival Note senza tempo
